Discover more about the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan tow capacity at Group 1 Volkswagen Hub City.
The Tiguan has a maximum towing capacity of 1,500lbs. Most of the Tiguan models have similar specs and utilize the exact same engine types. The SE, S, and SE R-Line Black models of the Volkswagen Tiguan offer you the option of selecting the standard 2.0-liter Turbo 4-cylinder with front-wheel drive or with the optional 4MOTION® AWD. If you prefer the SEL R-Line, just know the sole engine you can equip is the spunky 2.0L Turbo 4-cylinder paired with 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive, but they do all produce the same towing capacity.

The Tiguan standard horsepower is 184hp. All Volkswagen Tiguan trim levels produce identical horsepower production behind the wheel, just in unique ways. The standard Tiguan setup equips FWD and an 8-speed auto transmission. The available 4MOTION® option uses the same 8-speed transmission, just with all-wheel drive.
The Volkswagen Tiguan curb weight is between 3,765-3,856 pounds. Your curb weight of the Volkswagen Tiguan will be adjusted depending on the drive setup you select, not because of the trim level you prefer. No matter the trim, equipping the FWD 2.0-liter Turbocharged engine results in a weight of 3,765lbs, and the available all-wheel drive 4MOTION® 2.0L Turbo setup gives you a weight of 3,856 pounds.
The Volkswagen Tiguan ground clearance is between 7.4-7.6 inches. Just another statistic that’s affected by the powertrain selection, so expect to get a slight difference in ground clearance because of this selection. A ground clearance of 7.4in will be there when you choose the standard version of the Tiguan. The optional 4MOTION® trim levels of the Volkswagen Tiguan boast a clearance of 7.6in for drivers to enjoy.

I never felt pressured to buy a car. So I liked doing business with them.
I’m not sure if it’s the usual schedule but there was only 1 lube tech making an appointment take 2 hours. On top of that the price of the usual oil change is more than double the price I saw just last year under Gene Messer. It’s a good thing I had a coupon because I won’t be coming back at those prices
Easy to schedule an appointment with the service department and they are always careful to let you know what services your car needs.
Melissa was great. Got me in quick and took care of my vehicle. Will definitely return.
This dealership has always been so nice and helpful when I need to make an appointment. They keep me updated on what is happening.
